Egg Hunt with City Lights

City Lights Ministry in Winston-Salem is one of our local community partners for the sake of the Gospel. They are truly boots on the ground in some of the most un-reached neighborhoods right in our city and it's a joy to serve alongside them!

This month, they are hosting an "Easter Egg Hunt" for the kids and families in they serve at their facility downtown and WE are going to help make it happen by donating the eggs. Our goal is 5,000 eggs (yes, 5,000!) and here's how you can step in and help out:

1 | Gather up your family, friends or life group

Connect with others in your life group or crew and work together! Everyone can purchase eggs and goodies on their own or you might collect money and send that one person (you know will own it) out shopping. If just 100 families provide 50 eggs, we will reach our goal of 5,000 eggs!

2 | Collect plastic Easter eggs and goodies for inside

Don't bring those eggs back empty, fill them up! To be safe, let's avoid any chocolate, peanut-based candy or things that might melt. Hard, non-chocolate candy is a safe bet. You can also include Jesus-themed items like stickers, erasers, bracelets and such that you can find at places like Amazon or Oriental Trading. Just make sure whatever you get fits in those eggs.

3 | Stuff them!

Team up with your group and stuff those eggs! This is a great way for kids to help and teach them about serving others. We encourage you to pray for the kids who will get to collect these eggs at the event on March 27. That day, the kids will receive other items from CG and City Lights and ultimately get to hear about the live-changing Jesus that Easter is all about.

4 | Drop them off

Bag up your eggs and bring them in for our staff to deliver. On Sunday you can drop them off at your campus (Clemmons: Kids building or Sherwood: Lobby) OR bring them by the Church Offices during normal business hours (M - F, 8:30am - 5:30pm). Please bring all donations in by Wednesday, March 24.
