ADULT LIFE GROUPS (Click here for a listing of Adult Life Groups)
One of the most important things we do here at Center Grove is help people build relationships for life. God never intended for our spiritual journeys to be solo pursuits. He created us for community, and in Christ, we belong together. We know that spiritual growth happens best in the context of small groups, so we invite you to experience one of our Life Groups so you can meet friends and build meaningful relationships where you know others and they know you.
What do Life Groups do?
Connect People to People
Life Groups are where you know others and are known by them. Our Life Groups meet every Sunday and usually gather for some food and fun a least once a month.
Connect People to God
Our Life Groups are venues for people to express their love for God together. When you belong to a Life Group you are surrounded by others who encourage you to worship God by your lifestyle and who partner with you in prayer.
Connect God to People
Our Life Groups regularly study God's Word to hear how He cares about our lives and includes us in His purposes.
Connect the Church to the World
As we share our lives, we showcase God's love. By seeing how we love each other, people catch a glimpse of the change God has done in our lives to turn us from selfish creatures into grateful servants. Our Life Groups also partner together to serve our community to demonstrate Jesus' love for our world.
Why are Life Groups so important?
God designed us for community: God says it is bad when a person is isolated and
alone (Genesis 2:18), and He says it is good when people do life together
in unity (Psalm 133:1)
It reveals our love: Our love for God is proven by our love for others (1 John 4:20-21).
-
Life is hard: Everyone needs other people who will love them enough to help
-
them share the burdens of life (Galatians 6:2).
-
-
We need encouragement: God designed relationships to encourage our growth to
-
become more like Jesus (Hebrews 10:24)
-
-
We need assurance and protection: Loving others is evidence of our salvation
-
(1 John 3:0, 14; 4:7-14), and the accountability of others protects us from being
-
deceived by sin (Hebrews 3:13).
-
-
God gave us a mission: Those who do not know Jesus as Lord and Savior will learn
-
about Him though our love for each other (John 13:35; 17:21), and God displays
-
His wisdom and glory through the community of the church (Ephesians 3:10-11).
How do I experience a Life Group?
Strong friendships are built when people share life experiences. This is why we group our Life Groups according to the different life seasons we journey through. Click here to see the list of our different Life Groups. We invite you to check out any of our Life Groups. You may also stop by our information Center when you visit on Sundays and one of our friendly greeters will guide you to a class.
